My name is Zev Skolnik. Welcome to my site!
As you might have guessed, no, my name is not Jeff. Hence the site name. Duh.
You might be wondering, why the name of my site is No Not Jeff, when obviously, Zev and Jeff are two very different names. Well, that’s a long story that I’ll get into later, but when it comes down to it, it’s because of a lisp that I have.
It’s a conversation that I’ve had thousands of times, all over the world. “Hi, I’m Zev”.
“Seth?” No, but close!
“Seb?” We’ll get there eventually.
“Sev?” Ahh fine, let’s go with that.
I’ve had a ton of variations, but oftentimes, I’ll get back Jeff. Hell, one person somehow called me Kevin. Sorry buddy, better luck next time.
While some people might be exhausted by that conversation, it’s just something I’ve gotten used to and actually quite enjoy. My lisp is a part of who I am, and that conversation is a fun talking piece for meeting new people.
And so, that’s the story of why I named my site No, Not Jeff. Because it’s me, Zev!
